Impossible?
Tuesday, June 30th, 2009

Never ceases to amaze me what can be accomplished when you put your mind to it. Take this video for example:

A group of people who are determined to “do the impossible”. The phrase “practice makes perfect” comes to mind.

It just goes to show, nothing is impossible. Never give up on your goals, always strive to do the best you can with what you have, and keep trying until you make it.

Until next time,

Where Have You Set Your Goals?
Monday, June 29th, 2009

Hi Friends

Hope you are having a wonderful day! :)

Look at the quote below. Think about what it says.

QUOTE OF

THE DAY:
“The greatest danger for most of us lies not in setting our aims too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark.”

- Michelangelo

Where have you set your goals? Are you happy with what you are aiming at?

I am sure that you have heard the saying that “if you aim at nothing then you will hit it every single time!”

This is not what you want. If you are reading this, then I know that you want more out of life. You want to achieve your goals and see your dreams fulfilled in your life.

So I challenge you today, to stop for a few minutes, grab a pen and paper and actually write down what your goals are. Be specific. Set dates and specific details of the goals that you want to achieve.

Then come back each day and read your goals and think about them. You will be surprised how your life will begin to move towards seeing these goals and dreams come into reality.

Until next time, remember to Enjoy Life, Smile at a stranger and Make a Difference in the World.

Be Inspired By Others
Friday, June 26th, 2009

Hi Friends

I recently found this Inspiring Video on YouTube and I thought that I would share it with you today. I did include it in a recent newsletter also, but you may not have seen it there.

To me this video shows that everyone of you has gifts and talents inside of you and that you can reach out and achieve your goals and dreams. It shows me that no matter what ‘hard-knocks’ you have faced in your life that as long as you get up each time you fall and keep going you can be successful.

Each of the people who are mentioned in this video are ones who were told that they could not do it, that they would not amount to anything and that they would not make a difference in the world.

But as you can see from the video they kept going and tried one more time and were indeed successful! They did make a difference in the world in their specialized field.

Be inspired this week to keep going, take one more step towards what is important to you.

Until next time, Remember to Enjoy Life, Smile at a stranger and Make a Difference in the World.

Look A Little Closer
Thursday, June 25th, 2009

It’s not often people really take the time to appreciate all the little things they have in their life. It’s even less often that people stop and realize just how blessed they are to have the people they have in their lives.
Everyone has someone in their life that will always be there for them, the thing is, not everyone realizes it. These people just need to look a little closer, they’ll see it.
So today, just stop for a moment, look around at the people you have in your life and find comfort in knowing that there’s always someone around that you can count on.

Friends and family are very important in everyone’s life, no one should feel they have to do things on their own. If there’s something in your life that’s getting to you, stop and talk to someone close to you about it. You’ll feel better, and the person you talk to will feel good knowing that they helped.

Some people might say something like “oh, I don’t have any one in my life that i can talk to”. If you really don’t have anyone that you feel close to, do something about it. There’s a world full of people out there, and while making new friends might seem daunting, it’s not as scary as you might think, and who knows, you might find your new best friend.

There’s a saying, we don’t know what we’ve got until we lose it, but it’s just as true that we don’t know what we have been missing until it arrives. So get out there, make new friends, spend time with the ones you have, and don’t forget, you really are blessed to have those people in your life, let them know you appreciate them.

Til next time,

Tehillah.

Marketing Tips From Andrew Griffith
Tuesday, June 23rd, 2009

Today’s success tip comes from Andrew Griffiths.

Describing himself as a “serial entrepreneur”, Andrew has developed an international reputation that has significantly reinforced his six best-selling books. His books are sold in over 40 countries and their popularity has launched him as a sought-after keynote speaker and corporate coach.

Could you please list ten favourite low-cost marketing strategies?

1. Step outside your business and your comfort zone - spend some time getting out and about, networking and attending functions. Be prepared to tell people exactly what you sell and don’t be afraid to ask them for business.

2. Ask people to refer business to you - get on the referral bandwagon. Everyone out there is either a potential customer or they know someone who is a potential customer. Enlist the help of your family, friends, associates and neighbours to help grow your business substantially.

3. Become a spokesperson - stand in front of a crowd, send letters to the editor, become the head of your local organisations, or at least join them. Get yourself and your business name in front of as many people as you can.

4. Donate your time - it is amazing how much business you can have referred to you by being a good corporate citizen and helping out local charity events. Who has the time? None of us, but those that make time get well rewarded.

5. Use a blackboard - it still amazes me how much business you can get from simply putting a blackboard out the front of your business. An oldie but a goodie!

6. Set up strategic partnerships - do you know of any businesses that can refer customers to you and you can refer customers to them? Give them a call and go see them. Set up a more formal arrangement, and exchange brochures, get to know their business and start referring as soon as you can.

7. Ask your customers for ideas - it is very interesting to sit down with several of your customers and ask them for ideas to help you grow your business. Often, they will have some very interesting ideas that you otherwise may not have thought of. Smart business owners are always very open to other people’s ideas, and who better to look for ideas than your existing loyal customers? They get to feel good because you asked for their opinion and you get some great advice (fingers crossed) for free.

8. Use food - I have got more business over these many years with chocolates than any other selling tool I know of. I believe if you feed anything enough it will keep coming back for more. So have some chocolates, lollipops, fruit, sandwiches or whatever takes your fancy and give it to your customers.

9. Free samples - don’t be afraid to give free samples of your product or service to potential customers. It’s a case of putting your money where your mouth is. The fact is, people like getting things for free.

10. Do the little things - look for ways to do the little things for your customers that other businesses won’t, or can’t be bothered to do - remember names, give them a discount, and always be looking for ways to exceed their expectations.

Hope you’ve enjoyed this week’s success tip. Keep checking back for more great advice from the experts.

Until then,

Allan Poole

What Future Do You Desire?
Monday, June 22nd, 2009

Hi Friends

If you look at the life of anyone who is successful then you will see that their success did not just appear. The success did not just ‘fall out of the sky’ and give them all of their dreams. Success does not come just from wanting it to come.

There is no genie sitting out there waiting for us to find and rub the magic lamp and have our wishes answered. But, at the same time, we can achieve our dreams and goals.

The future that you desire to have is possible. You truly can achieve all that you dream of and desire for yourself, your family and those you care about.

So how is this possible? How do we achieve our dreams and goals?
That is a good question. This is the starting point!

QUOTE OF

THE DAY:

“The future never just happened. It was created.”

- Will and Ariel Durant

To achieve the future that you desire and dream of you need to have a clear picture of what that looks like. So step one is to decide what it is that you want and to write this down as a clear and concise goal.

Tips For Beginners
Thursday, June 18th, 2009

Hey guys, Tehillah here!

This week I’m just going to go over some tips for the people out there who are either new to being a vegetarian, or are at least considering making the switch to a life without meat.

Tip 01. Keep things simple to begin with and go slow - Many people that decide to switch to a vegetarian diet try to do it in one leap. They decide one day that, for one reason or another, they want to drop meat from the menu, and they just stop eating meat just like that. Some people can get away with this approach with very few to no problems, but many people aren’t quite as lucky. When your body has become accustomed to eating a certain way and suddenly everything changes, it’s a huge shock to the system. Many people feel tired, deprived and stressed and begin to think that there’s something wrong with a vegetarian diet.
The best way to avoid shocking your body is to make the change gradually. For example, begin to slowly eat less red meat, and eventually cut it out completely. Move on to poultry, fish and any other animal products you wish to cut out, and gradually stop eating them all together.

Tip 02. Do a lot of research and be sure are aware of how to make sure you’re eating a balanced diet - Another reason people have it in their minds that going vegetarian is unhealthy is that many people don’t know how to eat balanced, and so they end up with deficiency problems such as lack of iron, protein or vitamins.
So make sure you know what you are getting into before you make the switch.

Tip 03. Buy yourself a basic vegetarian cook book - By getting your hands on a bunch of vegetarian recipes, you’ll always have options and be able to have variety in your diet. Vegetarians that only know a couple of recipes tend to get bored of their diet and often don’t last.
Having a cook book full of recipes that you can eat keeps things interesting, as well as making it easier to eat a balanced diet, rather than constantly eating the same things.

That’s all for this week, more tips for beginners soon. Thanks for reading.

Til next week,

Tehillah.

Set Long-Term Goals
Wednesday, June 17th, 2009

Hi Friends

I have learned that it is important to set short term goals, but it is also extremely important to set long-term goals. Often life can throw you a curve ball and sometimes these can be enough to stop you in your tracks and to give up on your dreams.

If your goals are strong enough and line up with your values then no matter what life throws your way then you will be able to get up and keep going. One of the most important decisions that you can choose to make in life is to keep going.

It is only when you sit down and give up that you stop yourself from reaching your dreams and achieving your goals.

QUOTE OF

THE DAY:

“You must have long-range goals to keep you from being frustrated by short-range failure.”

- Charles Noble

If you can set long-term goals that are extremely important to you and which you continue to take small steps towards achieving then when life gets hard you are able to have a deep reason to continue and to keep moving forward.

Sometimes you may stumble in life and that is okay. When you stumble, and even fall, you just need a reason to get back up and to continue, or to even start again, if necessary.

So today, choose to set some long-term goals, goals that are important to you, goals that line up with your values.

Until next time, remember to Enjoy Life, Smile at a stranger and Make a Difference in the World.

So You Think You’re Tough
Tuesday, June 16th, 2009

This has very little to do with anything, but it made me laugh.

On a more serious note, in today’s economical recession, it’s more important than ever to remember that nothing is impossible when you set your mind to it.

In all things, just keep taking one step at a time.

Hold on to your goals with passion, excitement and enthusiasm.

And most importantly, remember that no matter how tough things get, never give up!

I wish you all the best for this coming week.

Until next time,

Allan Poole
